This mix is a trip back to "Another Time - Another Place". LISTEN HERE

Throughout the summer of 89 through to 1990 and into 1991, Myself and a group of friends aka The Chaos Clan would experience a musical and cultural journey like many others around the country, searching for something different than the normal !

Illegal parties, raves and gatherings sprung up all around our local area in Folkestone and surrounding villages, with psychedelic nights held in "sweatbox" venues such as "Bottoms", "Heroes", "The Labour Hall", "Toffs" and "The Soundhouse". Hazy memories of open-air all-nighters down at "The Zig-Zag path and Toll Road", also at the bottom of the Whites Cliffs of Dover and larger venues such as "The Metronome" have stayed with me.

During these times, life changing expereinces were had and friendships were formed... which have lasted to this day....

This 3 hour mix is a journey through the sounds of that time, a personal selection of tracks played by the Room 6 lads.... Jeff, DJ TNT, Deckstalker, Mr G along with fav's of that era played by myself and Gary C aka "G-Force".

Of course this mix isn't a comprehensive list, its simply tracks that I remember from the time... tracks that got played in

This mix is dedicated to a year in house music that for me is often overlooked. Much has been said and written about 1986 - the Year of Acid and of course also 1988 - ""The Summer Of Love. However, for me 1987 was that wonderful time where all the elements came together, and the warehouse parties around the country began to reflect this.

Another Night at Equinox '93-94'

Following on from my previous mix "One Night At Equniox '92-93", this new mix continues in the same vain.....

Millwaukes or "The Fun House" as it was known, was one of the first legally all-night licensed clubs in the UK, hosting regular events from Helter Skleter, ESP and of course Equinox.

What was great about those nights was the consistant and amazing DJ line up's. With it being centrally located, it would capture both Midland/Northern based DJ's heading south and London DJ's heading north.

This mix is my homage to those very special nights. That legendary 25k Cerwin Vega + 5k Sub Base sound system, that would pummel your ribcage with its earth shattering sub base. The combination of jungle rhythms alongside 4 the floor piano bangers and techno stompers. The intimacy that was created by the DJ being so near to the crowd... and what a crowd and what a vibe.....

All hail "The King Of Clubs".

"1992..... the raves got bigger and better as the scene catered for the every increasing popularity of the culture. Promotors such as Fantazia, Dreamscape/ESP, Perception, Raindance, Universe, Telepathy, Spiral Tribe, World Dance, Ektos and many more put on legal and illegal open air events. Regular club nights with all night licences, up and down the county like Millwaukes, The Eclipse, Shelly's, Club Kinetic, Labrynth, Sterns, AWOL, Orange would be packed every weekend.

Like so many, myself and crew would travel up and down the country, every weekend... hitting as many of these nights as we could. Particular nights that stand out would be Perception's 'Real Dream' in Longleat Safari Park, Fantazia's 'One Step Beyond' at Castle Donninghton, Dreamscape IV at the Sanctuary and Dreamscape V in Hull, World Dance in Lydd Airport and, AWOL at the Paradise.

Of course, this mix isn't a comprehensive list, its simply tracks that I remember, tracks that got played by some of my favourite DJ's during 1992 whether it was in a field, under a marque or big top or in a club..... these tracks will always remind me of 92.... More Goodness For You."
